We are currently looking for an Administrative / Accounts Assistant to assist in the operational side of this nonprofit arts organisation on a permanent part-time basis (8 hours / week). The successful applicant will work closely with the Operations / Marketing Manager at our office in the Old Mercury Building in the Hobart CBD and will be responsible for:

  • subscription management
  • general administrative duties
  • answering enquiries
  • assisting with distribution
  • accounts payable
  • accounts receivable
  • bank reconciliations
  • petty cash reconciliations

We are looking for someone with 3+ years administrative and accounts experience and strong written and oral communication skills. Due to the part-time nature of the role, great time management and organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently. The role may also involve assisting with marketing, community engagement and events so a variety of experience and interests would definitely help!

The successful candidate will be experienced with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and Xero (or similar accounts software). Experience with Apple products is also desirable but not essential.

The salary is $55,328 pro rata (plus 9.5% superannuation) and includes leave entitlements.
