Team Changes

After leading Island's editorial team for over seven years, Vern Field will be changing her role from Managing Editor to Online Editor. She will also remain on the Island Board, so we still retain all her important knowledge and skills!  

Jane Rawson, current Fiction Editor, will step up to the role of Managing Editor and award-winning Tasmanian author Kate Kruimink will be the new Fiction Editor. 

Vern said: ‘I have been privileged to hold the role of Managing Editor, but it is time for change. It’s wonderful to welcome the very talented Jane Rawson into the role. I’m excited to see how the magazine evolves under the powerful partnership between Jane and Island’s Business Manager, Adelaide Reisz. But I love Island too much to leave completely, so I’ll continue to serve on the Board and as Online Editor and I look forward to continuing to work with great Australian writers.'
